AiPi utilizes enormous and diverse resources, which include multi-disciplinary teams of professionals, to provide a range of IP paralegal support services directed to pursuing IP protection worldwide. Our professionals are detail oriented, knowledgable of IP rules and regulations worldwide, well versed in all IP related documents and forms, and proficient in a wide range of languages.

AiPi applies these skills to support law firms and IP owners with regard to the logistics of pursuing and maintaining IP protection around the world, such as by providing docketing services, and preparing and filing all IP prosecution related forms worldwide. AiPi also provides worldwide IP management services, such as by ensuring the consistent submission of relevant prior art in corresponding and related patent applications, and by translating patent applications and related documents into languages that are appropriate for submission to patent offices around the world. We offer our clients all other services that are relevant to pursuing and maintaining IP protection, including drafting figures for use in utility and design patent applications, patent proofreading, etc. In addition, AiPi routinely provides other paralegal support services that are related to IP related activities in other contexts, such as with regard to licensing, enforcement, etc., including transcription services, and in particular providing written records of in person meetings and telephone conferences.

Docketing

Our IT infrastructure and other resources allow AiPi to offer law firms and IP owners a range of docketing services. AiPi’s professionals are proficient in all major IP docketing software packages, and are well versed in the rules, regulations, deadlines, etc., of patent offices around the world.

AiPi’s rigorous training and quality control systems ensure that our detail oriented professionals perform error free docketing of critical IP events worldwide.

We tailor our docketing services to match each of our clients’ requirements. For example, some law firms and IP owners prefer that AiPi use our own docketing software to independently docket and manage all events, and request that AiPi only provide notifications under certain circumstances so as to reduce duplication and enhance efficiency. Alternatively, other clients prefer that AiPi use their own docketing software to enter the docket entries, and these clients monitor the docket so as to retain management over the docketed events. Still other law firms and IP owners prefer hybrid models using either AiPi’s docketing software or the clients’ docketing software, and we tailor our docketing services to meet those clients’ requirements.

AiPi provides direct logistical support to law firms and IP owners in their pursuit and maintenance of IP protection around the world, such as by preparing and/or filing all IP prosecution related forms worldwide. 

AiPi utilizes enormous and diverse resources, which include multi-lingual teams of professionals who are knowledgable of IP rules and regulations worldwide, to prepare and/or file IP related documents and forms in all patent and trademark offices, including North America, Europe, Asia, and WIPO. AiPi’s rigorous training and quality control systems ensure that our detail oriented professionals perform error free preparation and/or filing of IP prosecution related forms worldwide. We tailor our preparation and/or filing of IP prosecution related forms to match each of our clients’ requirements. For example, some law firms and IP owners prefer that AiPi prepare and forward IP prosecution related forms to another entity, such as the patent owner or law firm, for filing in a patent or trademark office by that entity. Alternatively, other clients prefer that AiPi prepare and file IP prosecution related forms in relevant patent or trademark offices. Still other law firms and IP owners prefer hybrid models, where AiPi prepares and files IP prosecution related forms in certain patent or trademark offices, while AiPi prepares and forwards forms to another entity for filing by that entity in other patent or trademark offices.

Worldwide IP Management

We utilize our enormous and diverse resources, which include multi-lingual teams of professionals who are knowledgeable of IP rules and regulations worldwide, to help law firms and IP owners to manage IP portfolios worldwide. For example, AiPi manages the filing of new patent and trademark applications, and provides new patent and trademark application filing strategies based on our clients’ requirements, including providing recommendations as to the filing of domestic and overseas patent and trademark applications as well as PCT patent applications. As another example, AiPi manages disclosure requirements worldwide, such as by ensuring the consistent submission of prior art and relevant examination reports to patent offices around the world for related and corresponding applications. We tailor our IP management strategies to match each of our clients’ requirements. For example, some law firms and IP owners prefer that AiPi merely provide them with our IP management strategy recommendations, which are then implemented by another entity, such as by the law firm or IP owner. Alternatively, other clients prefer that AiPi implement the IP management strategy recommendations ourselves, such as by using AiPi’s network of professionals to file relevant documents in patent and trademark offices around the world. Still other law firms and IP owners prefer hybrid models, where AiPi implements the IP management strategy recommendations in certain patent or trademark offices, while implementation in other patent or trademark offices is performed by another entity.

Translation Services

AiPi’s worldwide IP management services also include all levels of written and verbal translation services, which cover a wide range of languages and dialects. We utilize our enormous and diverse resources, which include multi-lingual teams of professionals who are also knowledgeable of IP rules and regulations worldwide, to prepare accurate written translations of relevant IP documents, including patent applications, examination reports and other documents, for submission to patent offices around the world. Importantly, our professionals’ knowledge of relevant IP rules and regulations ensures a highly accurate translation of the relevant IP documents.

For example, we utilize our enormous and diverse resources, which include a variety of tools and software apps as well as illustration professionals who are knowledgable of IP rules and regulations worldwide, to draft accurate and high-quality figures for use in utility and design patent applications that are consistent with the requirements of all patent offices. AiPi is adept at preparing a range of other types of IP related illustrations, such as perspective views for comparing claimed inventions to prior art in the context of patentability and validity proceedings. Our illustration professionals also routinely prepare illustrations in the context of enforcement, such as for supporting litigation, including exhibit preparation, video demonstrations and animations, 3D models, etc.

We tailor our proofreading services to match each of our clients’ requirements. For example, some law firms and IP owners prefer that AiPi proofread patents issued by certain patent offices around the world to ensure that their IP rights are accurately and professionally represented. Other clients prefer that AiPi proofread documents for filing in patent offices to facilitate obtaining a desired and enforceable scope of protection.
